Us & The Oscar Winners

Kim teases me for being a little “star-struck,” but I don’t mind. Mainly because I really do get star struck. Something about celebrity has always intrigued me. But also, it’s usually for a really good reason. Like when we get to meet Glen and Marketa…

Go ahead, say it. You’re jealous.

A – how did you meet them?

B – is this why you were “riding high” on your facebook status?

and C – does me not having any idea who these people are mean I am not cool?

African Kelli

So jealous! And I want me some new tunes. :)

Zack

Nice pic bro – how’d you swing that? Kelli and I were there too. We saw you but to be honest weren’t sure if it was you or not, so we chickened out from saying hi. Our bad.

Zach, I cannot fault you. Too many times have I walked up behind someone and said, “What up, bro?!” only to find out I have no idea who they are. No sweat.

Kelli, I’ll trade you for that awesome mix you had spinning on Thursday evening.

Aaron, a) We waited patiently by the side door with 25 of our closest friends and other groupies. b) Yes. The concert was Tuesday, and the high still hasn’t worn off. Best show I have seen in my life. Hands down. c) Not necessarily. If you still have not seen the movie in three weeks then you are not cool. That should give you plenty of time to see the movie. If you can’t make that deadline, “our” generation will become “my” generation again…

Who are they? I really am totally lost to pop culture (especially sophisticated pop culture, like award-winning motion pictures)

KCRW is probably the greatest station ever. They had Sufjan Stevens on for “Morning Becomes Eclectic,” and it was amazing.
