Divided by our 8 City Council Districts, this news means that each District represents more than 180,000 people. It also means that the time to Move Forward With New Energy is today.

Currently, City Council District Four is represented by an exemplary leader in Tom Simplot. Councilman Simplot has been a powerful presence on the Phoenix City Council since 2003, serving as a strong voice for small businesses in Phoenix, the nonprofit community across Arizona and, of course, his neighbors right here in District Four. And while I have no intention to run against him, I have every intention to be ready when Councilman Simplot’s service on City Council is term-limited in 2017.

Yes, that seems to like a long way away – but a venture like this takes plenty of planning and preparation – which is why I’ve already started to lay the foundation to run a successful campaign. This is where you come in: the road ahead will be long but with your support the journey will be much more bearable. There are more than 180,000 people in District Four, and to share my vision and passion for Phoenix with every single voter we need to start right now. Today. A new generation is entering the workforce which means we need to develop and elect leaders that think and act like the people they are making decisions for. In other words, our City Government ought to be filled with people every bit as creative and intelligent as its people.
